Design Strategist and Facilitator, Commonland
Bio
I am deeply committed to advancing a regenerative society and fostering resilience on Earth, believing that soil is key to healing the divides between us and nature, others, and our higher selves. By addressing these divides, we can tackle challenges like biodiversity, food, climate, and resilience. Currently, I work as a Design Strategist and Facilitator with Commonland, using Social Labs (Theory U) to drive transformative change for flourishing ecosystems and communities. I lead the Returns Lab, developing multi-stakeholder initiatives and innovation labs such as Oogst van Morge, Oogst van Overmorgen, and the Bioregional Weaving Lab. These efforts contributed to the proposal for the "Academy for Landscape Restoration" at the Dutch Postcode Lottery, in collaboration with the Presencing Institute. Previously, I founded Living Lands in South Africa, creating the Living Landscape approach, which integrates awareness-based technologies, transdisciplinary research, and ecosystem services with sustainable business practices, guided by Commonland’s 4 Returns Model.
